Jeez, How Long Has It Been?

I don't think I posted these last two weeks. That sucks, I'm sorry! But I've read books. A Lot of books in the last three weeks. So I'll put them all the last Teen Tuesday that I've missed into this post. In the last three weeks, I've read:

  1. Guyaholic by Carolyn Mackler
  2. Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott
  3. How To Build A House by Dana Reinhardt
  4. Fabulous Terrible (Adventures of You) by Sophie Talbot
  5. Project 17 by Laurie Faria Stolarz
  6. Model: A Memoir by Cheryl Diamond.
Wow, remember those days when I read 6 books a week? It feels like it won't ever happen. So I'll put all these together in the Little Bestie Awards:
  • Best Character: Tie=Cheryl Diamond in Model/Kate Brown in Perfect You
  • Best Plot: Project 17 by Laurie Faria Stolarz
  • Best Setting: Tie=Project 17/Model
  • Best Writing: Elizabeth Scott-Perfect You
Winning Book(s): Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott/Project 17 by Laurie Faria Stolarz/Model: A Memoir by Cheryl Diamond.

Well, what can I say? All the books above are fabulous, but those top three were terrific. All of the three were 5/5 stars. Very recommended.

Right now I'm reading I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone by Stephanie Kuehnert, I'm less then a 100 pages and find it addicting so far. I love Emily, she's a great character. So I should finish it this week. I have a lot of books I need to read....Hmmm....let's see, the books I plan to read in the next week are: Dream Factory by Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler and Skin Deep by EM Crane and if I'm lucky, Outside Beauty by Cynthia Kadohata. Check out my blog today for an interview with Jennifer Ziegler and also, you might want to check out my blog on Friday. . .

But in other news, is anybody doing the 24 Hr. Read-A-Thon this Saturday? I might. Though it might be hard. Also, tomorrow is my Friday! Yay! I get a four day weekend this week! Aren't I lucky?!?! but guess WHY we get the two days off? Hunting! Though, I'm not apart of it. But I live in Minnesota and EVERYBODY hunts, which is kind of cool becasue you get two days off. So yay me! More reading time!

What are you doing this weekend?

Oh Dear, I Forgot Last Week. :/

I'm sorry! I forgot last week!

Oh, well. I finally finished Living Dead Girl last Saturday. Since then, I haven't really read much. I've read Fireworks. And A Raisin in the Sun for my history class.

I have, however, found love in scheduled posting. Here's what's been up since I've been gone:

Guest Blog with Beth Fehlbaum.

Review | Death by Bikini - Linda Gerber
Review | Living Dead Girl - Elizabeth Scott
Review | Larry and the Meaning of Life - Janet Tashjian
Review | Crush du Jour - Micol Oscow

And coming up this week is:

The review for Fireworks.
An interview with April Lurie.
And I might actually review A Raisin in the Sun, too.
The review for The Midnight Twins will also be up this week.

I also posted about my new idea that I've been toying around with since about May. It's the First Annual Young Adult Book Awards. The nominations run until the end of November, so make sure you check them out! I think it's a pretty cool idea, and if it goes over well this year, I'll do it again next year. Please let me know what you think about this idea. :D

Right now, I'm reading North of Beautiful and Savvy Girl. I haven't gotten too far in either, so I can't really tell you how they are yet. :(

hope.

Good-bye, Required Reading [[Chelsie]]

Done with everything required. 7 Habits is now a thing of the past.

So, what am I reading now? Undone by Brooke Taylor. Which is a good book. When I can find time to read it. I'm reading much faster now than I was, say, two weeks ago. But I'm still not back to my book-a-day self.

But it's better. Less busy. Or more balanced; one of the two. I'm less overwhelmed with everything than I was. Which is such a good thing, because before I was so busy and so confused about what to do and when to do it. Now I can sort of go with the flow and still get things done.

So, I'm reading Undone. That's about it right now; but hopefully next week I'll have tons of exciting news =D
